Driving directions from Denver International Airport: Exit the airport on Pena Blvd and continue south for about 10 miles. Take Exit 1A / I-70. Proceed west on I-70. Take Exit 282 / I-225. Proceed south on I-225. Take Exit 2 / DTC Blvd / Yosemite St. After exiting, at the first traffic light, turn left onto DTC Blvd. At the second traffic light, turn right onto E Tufts Ave. Hotel is directly ahead at top of hill.

Airport shuttles, taxis, rental cars, and a Town Car service are all popular ways of getting from the airport to the hotel. One-way shuttle fares range from $16–$25, and taxi fares are more than $36. Getting around: Subject to availability, a hotel courtesy shuttle transports guests to all destinations within a five-mile radius. Guests often use taxis, which hotel staff can call to arrange a pick-up. Guests who plan extensive local travel or sightseeing should consider renting a car, which is the most convenient way of getting around. Two blocks from the hotel is an RTD bus stop, where guests can catch buses that connect to much of the city.

Sarah’s Pantry - This lobby café seats 20, and serves Starbucks coffee, espresso drinks, pastries, sandwiches, snacks, and chilled beverages. The café also fills special orders for guests who wish to stock their room refrigerators.

Garrity’s Sports Bar - This smoke-free bar features beer, cocktails, and pub fare, including salads, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, and pasta. It seats 80, with a big-screen TV, pool and shuffleboard tables, and peanuts and popcorn.

Amenity highlights: A glass-enclosed, complimentary health club, indoor lap pool, and spa area on the lobby level has a large outdoor sundeck, cardio and strength training equipment, free weights, remote-controlled televisions with earphones, and locker rooms with showers and saunas. Corporate travelers appreciate the business center, which offers fax, copy, secretarial services, and high-speed Internet access (first 15 minutes are free).

Insider tip: By 2006, transportation in southeast Denver—where the hotel is located—will be enhanced thanks to the addition of light-rail service as part of the Transportation Expansion Project, or T-REX. Until then, rush hour is to be avoided. Weekday travelers would do well to use the hotel’s local shuttle (complimentary to destinations within 5 miles) or public transit system.

Water sports are available at nearby reservoirs, including Cherry Creek State Park, 5 miles, and the Chatfield Reservoir, 22 miles away.

The 314-acre City Park, 5 miles north of the hotel, also contains a golf course, tennis courts, horseshoes, baseball, football and soccer fields, two lakes, picnic sites, playgrounds, and the Denver Zoo and Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

Summit County, a little more than 1 hour west of Denver, includes four popular ski areas: Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin. Vail is approximately 100 miles west of Denver.
